Letwell Street Fayre – Saturday 5 July 2025

Letwell’s historic village street will once again play host to the much-loved traditional Street Fayre in
2025, which will take place on Saturday July 5th , starting at 1.00pm.

As ever, there’ll be a host of traditional stall and games, including coconut shy, splat the rat, snail
racing, hook-a-duck and the ever-popular pot smashing stall!

There will be bargains galore to be found and bric-a-brac a plenty, along with delicious home-made jams, chutneys, and local produce for sale.

Be sure to be on your best behaviour this year, as The Vikings will be in town! With a vibrant living
history display, and even a mock battle, it’s a great opportunity to get up close and personal with an
authentic Viking clan.

There will also be home-made teas, coffees, and cakes galore in the village hall, along with freshly
cooked bacon butties in the bus shelter – always a must!

Music, as ever, is a significant feature of the show, and this time will be provided throughout the
afternoon by the acclaimed Rotherham Youth Orchestra.

Add to that craft stalls, balloon modelling by the ingenious Mr Twister, face painting and dancing
around the Maypole, the 2025 event looks sure to be one of the best.

The Street Fayre raises funds for the ongoing maintenance and upkeep of Letwell’s historic church, St
Peter’s, as well as contributions towards other projects and community events in the village.
